Story[]

The Friendly Ghost finally has many human friends, but the evil Kibosh, who is spying on him with his crystal ball, is unhappy with Casper hanging out with these "fleshies" so he uses a machine to teleport all of Casper friends around the world, so the little ghost never will be able to see them again, but Casper finds a Map that gives him a clue to his friends' whereabouts. Kibosh has also hypnotised the Ghostly Trio into doing his bidding. After finding all of his friends and snapping the Trio out of their trance, each of his uncles gives him a piece of the imprisoning device to bring them back to Whipstaff Manor.

The game has to alternate endings depending whether Casper finds and collects all 40 of the crystal shards. If Casper fails to collect every friendship crystal, he returns straight to Whipstaff Manor but he wonders where Kibosh is hiding. If he collects every friendship crystal in the game, he refuses to return to Whipstaff Manor until he teaches Kibosh a lesson. He tracks him down to Atlantis where they engage in combat, with Casper being the victor. He offers Kibosh a choice to be friendly and turn his life around, which Kibosh turns down and claims that it is not over between them. Kibosh retreats to the Spirit World while Casper, the Ghostly Trio, and the children are all transported back to Whipstaff Manor.
