Thatch (also known as Thatch The Vampire Bully) is a vampire who is a student at Scare School and he's the secondary antagonist in the movie Casper's Scare School. In the film, he is portrayed by Matthew Underwood, Carter Jackson in the first season of the TV series and Matthew Geczy in the second season. Thatch is one of Casper's greatest rivals and shows great distaste for him due to his friendliness.
He says he is, and seems to be popular, but a jerk instead, as he is conniving, selfish and mean. He is always looking for things to exploit and use to his advantage. His gang usually includes Slither, Dummy Girl, Mosshead and, occasionally, Harpy.
Thatch displays vampiric traits, mostly his ability to shapeshift into a bat. But oddly, he seems to have no aversion to sunlight as he has been in Deedstown several times during the day. He apparently has acid for tears as he once cried for not having the respect of his gang, his tears burning holes through his cape.
Although he's a bully, once in a while he finds common grounds with Casper and his friends, and even occasionally helps them, but goes right back to being the way he was before, as if nothing happened.

Thatch is mean, cruel, arrogant, bossy and cowardly, with a pronounced distaste towards kindness, provoking an inevitable rivalry with protagonist Casper. The vampire also loves to tease his classmates, who are often victimised to the cruelty of his planks. Despite this, Thatch he is not as tough as he portrays himself to be; one episode showing the vampire in tears after losing respect from his closest 'friends' in his 'gang'.
Thatch loves to scare "fleshies", being the best scarer at the school, He also possesses a power-hungry personality to the point he wants to rule over the world as it was shown in "Home alone" "Save Graham" and "Cheese" in order to achieve his goal of world domination he constantly tries to take over scare school. Thatch is also known for hating humans, more than any other creature in Scare School does.

- Thatch appears as an enemy in the video-game "Casper's scare school: Classroom Capers" basically he serves as a recurrent foe in the game to make the game-play more difficult, the players can find and use a bettle (which thatch is afraid of) in order to drive him away.
